This term, we were fortunate to have two exceptional former students, Sophie and Angelina Yang, and their parents, Grace and Dr. Samuel Yang, founders of STEM Educational program “KidWe Lab,” as guest speakers for Rimu and Kauri team. Their presentation aimed to foster connections between our learners and the world of STEM, particularly in relation to our Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Physics unit titled “May the FORCE be with you.”
The Yang family engaged our students in STEM learning, robotics, and engineering. Following the presentation, a group of 35 students had an opportunity to participate in a hands-on STEM learning experience facilitated by KidWe Lab, enhancing their understanding science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Our learners are now eagerly channelling their creativity and newfound knowledge into the creation of their own final PBL projects.
