COVID has wreaked havoc on many of our sporting activities in the past two years so it was very exciting to be able to run our 3 on 3 Touch comp once again and it kicked off in Term 1 on Friday afternoons.
Blessed with amazing weather throughout the term, we were able to have 10 rounds uninterrupted by weather which was a first, but a very welcome first! 3 on 3 Touch is a great social time where students put their own teams together and have a bit of fun on a Friday afternoon listening to some ‘music’! Great to see the staff out there having a run around and some laughs with the kids. The Girls Final was contested by the Dinosaurs and You Can’t Catch Us. The Dinosaurs proved their ‘prehistoric’ skills were too much and they ‘roared’ to an 8-0 win.
The Boys Final was an absolute cracker with a young FTB team giving Triple Whammy a real run for it’s money before Triple Whammy ground out a 7-3 victory. A massive thank you must go to the students of Room 53 who set up, refereed, scored, time-kept and packed up each and every week; you guys were fantastic and we can only run the comp because of your efforts, support and contribution.
