Congratulations to the Arts Academy (Room 10) for coming 1st Place in the Auckland Showquest competition. Showquest is a live stage performance that incorporates music, dance and drama to tell a story. This year due to Covid, Showquest was moved to an online 7 minute entry only.
The Arts Academy chose to tell the heart-breaking story of WW2 through the eyes of one woman who relives her experience by reading her old diary entries and experiencing flashbacks. The Academy wanted to create a sense of emotion of life before and after war.
Along with their first place our Northcross Intermediate performers won two categories;
Best Educational Message and Best use of Location filming’
With so many school entries from across Auckland a number 1 place is an amazing achievement.
Breaking News: As of 1pm today, Northcross Academy of the Arts placed second in New Zealand Show Quest overall with first place placings in Use of Location filming, best Wearable Art and best Educational Message. An outstanding and very impressive result!
