Mural Masterpiece

During the course of Term 3, Room 52 had the pleasure of designing the Rata Outdoor area. It all started as a small project but as the weeks passed, it grew into something a lot bigger. As Architects, the whole class started to design and organise an area for the Rata playground. A couple of groups booked meetings with Mr Tredray and began showing him their designs. These meetings became frequent discussions and changes soon began to appear. It started with the area outside the ILC, padding it with cobble bricks, wood, and soil. Soon a wonderful new area had been created. Following that came the big Mural project.  After multiple searches and meetings with Mr Tredray, the foundation group; Taylor, Ashlee, Jade, Finn, Shayan and Caitlin emailed various web designers to find a perfect mural for our school.  In the end they decided on a mural created by Kate Hindson from Christine Petty’s company Graphixs Wall Art. From a selection of three, the mural was finally chosen. On Thursday 17th  September the Wall Art team arrived and, with Rm52’s help, assembled the mural. Each day positive comments continue to flow from students, parents, visitors and staff combined. We know from this, that small ideas and big visions can turn into something great!
