Y8 student Ryder Hinton received a highly commended award for the image he submitted as part of the nationwide Toi Wearable Arts competition. Designers who created garments for the WOW competition had the option of entering a creative photo challenge: to compose a high fashion image worthy of a magazine cover. Ryder volunteered his photographic skills and worked closely with the designer to plan out the photoshoot. He took the photo in the school PAC, utilising the spotlights to create dramatic lighting. Ryder’s image showcases the garment created by Zara Latimar titled Plastic Outbreak.
