On Wednesday 26 February, a very hot summers day, our Y7 and Y8 Boys Softball Teams headed off to Rosedale Park to compete at the North Harbour Intermediate School Softball Champs. With a mixture of experienced and inexperienced players they were eager to impress.
Firstly, well done to our Year 7 Boys first place getters – the team had an awesome day at the North Harbour Champs. The boys ended up winning all their games bar one which was against TNIS whom they eventually beat in the final. Some exceptional games were played throughout the day and showcased why the team deserved to come out on top. The Y7 Boys should be extremely proud of themselves, as we are with them. Congratulations to our Year 7’s.
Our Year 8 Boys finished up a well deserved 3rd place. Going through the pool round with only one loss they came up against Birkdale Intermediate in the semi final. Birkdale did not drop a game in their pool play and we could not get on top of their speedy pitcher going down 5 – 0. Each and every player developed their skills and knowledge of the game. Well done on finishing 3rd, and the way you used NX Respect on the day was execeptional.
Thanks to the many parents who were able to get to a game or two to support our teams on the day.
