The students of Room 59 created an art installation, known as Project 5-9. The art comprises of 10, 2m tall wooden poles depicting images associated with the nations of our pacific islands neighbours. Through research, students created unique and original designs. They carved the poles, dug the holes, helped secure them, and painted them to create a stunning piece of Pacifica art that not only enhances our school grounds but will also be their legacy; a lasting reminder of their time at Northcross.
A massive thanks to Finn and his dad who volunteered machinery and time to dig the holes required for each of the ten poles.
