On August 17th our Northcross students had an incredible night at the Rock Shop Bandquest competiton. They absolutely rocked the stage and had a blast in the mosh pit. Our singers were particularly impressive to watch. Riley’s intro in Te Reo was striking.
All the students were supportive of each other and cheered other band members including the ones from other schools, which the organisers mentioned.
The following students won awards. First place; Riley, Max, Harold, Jan, Cayden, Angela, Emily, Gina, Hugo, Jinyi.
Ethan, Catherine and Sean wrote and won best original song award.
Their band also won the rocking styles award: Dongchen, Lucas, Eason, Catherine, Dongyu, Ashton, Yuwen, Derek, Michael, Ethan.
Ruru 6 and Lola 26 won star vocalists.
Nathan room 49 won best keyboard player.
Nicole got an award for the specialist instrument.
