Northcross was delighted to host the Earth Sciences, North Harbour Science and Technology Expo again this year. For 2026 this project was incorporated into our term two Project Based Learning unit, so all students in the school participated, following the scientific method, creating their own science or technology investigation.
94 projects were put forward to be considered for entry into the North Harbour competition, with 24 projects being entered on behalf of our school.
We congratulate each of the following students who received category awards: Montgomery Randal for top of category living world, Leah Wang for top of category material world, and Chloe Tang for top of category consumer world. In addition, our students received seven bronze medals, two silver medals, and seven gold medals, plus two special chief judge awards for Agnes Jun and Yeonjun Moon, the David Peace Award for Investigating Alternative Energy for James Allfrey, two excellence in statistics awards, plus the best use of statistics award, and the Bill Wiggle Memorial Cup for Outstanding Logbook to Montgomery Randal.
