On Thursday September 16th, six Northcross teams attended the Auckland finals for the Chess Development organisation.
Our top team in the Champion Division came 2nd: Aleksei, Dillon, Zion and Charlie.
In the Major Division one team came 1st out of all the participating schools: Jayden, Kaiyi, Kyle and Cynthia.
Individual girls: Cynthia was the 1st and Lori 3rd.
Individual boys: Jayden 1st, Carter 2nd and Ryan 3rd.
All students played extremely well and were fantastic representatives for Northcross! Chess continues to be an increasingly popular sport in our school.
