The NX Rugby League boys recently competed in the North Harbour zone day at Freyberg Park. The boys went through the group stage with two imposing victories against Whangaparaoa B and Orewa scoring at least 10 tries in each game and conceding zero! This set up a semifinal against Whangaparaoa A where the boys fought back hard from two tries down to tie the game. This meant they went through to the final after a points tiebreaker. The final was a tough encounter against a strong Murrays Bay team with the NX boys unable to get the win after their epic battle in the semi final. They can hold their heads up high with this performance (NH Runners Up) especially considering it is some of the boys first ever time playing rugby league.
