Northcross students put on their running shoes last Friday and took to the challenge of completing our annual NX 3km Fun Run. The competition between the Houses was awesome, the costumes were spectacular, with everyone proudly wearing their House colours and the students who completed the challenging course all showing an incredible amount of effort, enthusiasm and heaps of determination. A big congratulations to the following students for producing the fastest times overall for their age group/gender:
Y7 Boys: 1st – Connor Smith; 2nd – Bede Thorburn; 3rd – Riki Kato
Y7 Girls: 1st – Maddy Jackson; 2nd – Charley March; 3rd – Naava Derksen
Y8 Girls : 1st – Amy Hurly (12.38 – new record time!); 2nd – Ruby McDonald; 3rd – Emmy Hurcum
Y8 Boys: 1st – Gab Sloane-Rodrigues ( 11.50 – new record time!); 2nd – Niko Jelas; 3rd equal – Cameron Buckingham & Ollie Ward
