NX Boys Football Team Impress at Tournament

The boys football team selected to have attended the AIMS Games made an impressive showing at the Westlake Boys Tournament in the week before lockdown. What was to be a pre-aims game tournament against worthy opponents proved to be a rewarding day of football for our passionate players. With their Coach, Jack Caunter, the team had worked hard on their defensive and attacking patterns and were more than ready to take on the Y9 Westlake Boys, Belmont and Murrays Bay Intermediate Teams. The team displayed incredible resilience to make a comeback in their first game against the Y9 Westlake team. Down 1-0 the boys rallied and put in 2 well worked goals to take the game 2-1. In their games against Murrays and Belmont the Northcross boys continued to play phenomenal football, dominant in attack and unyielding in defence. With outstanding team work they went onto win the final game and claimed the trophy for another year.
