Our very competitive annual school speech competition was held on 5 August. The audience had the opportunity to listen to speeches on a diverse range of topics and we were privileged to have Maria Hughes from Long Bay College and Anna Taylor from Rangitoto College as guest judges. Together with our Head of Drama, Mark Jensen, they had a difficult task on their hands in selecting the top speakers.
Placings were as follows:
1st Place: Billie McNaughton-Smale- Be alert, it’s an introvert!
2nd Place: Max Managh- Have you picked up a piece of litter yet?
3rd Place: India Bevan- NZ Poverty
Our top two finalists will go on to represent the school at the North Shore Rotary Preliminary Competition in September.
