The Northcross rugby league team competed in the North Harbour zone day and enjoyed some competitive footy in the sunshine. The fields were in good nick at Sunnynook and there was lots of opportunity for all the boys to tackle, run and support each other. Unfortunately, bad weather had limited our preparation as the Northcross fields were often closed. But the under 55 team got off to a good start beating the Wairau team. Murrays Bay and Whangaparoa beat us in the following games before we finally played Wairau again for a play off for 3rd and 4th. The boys won this one and overall showed lots of spirit and teamwork.
Up the Wahs!
