NX returned to the newly resown Sunnynook Park to hopefully win 3 NH Touch Titles! Our Mixed side was a mixture of some strong girls appearing for their second year of Mixed touch and some new, fresh and speedy young Y7 lads! Despite very little time together as a unit, the team made the Semi Finals. In a tense 3 on 3 drop off they unfortunately went down to eventual winners, Belmont.
Our Girls team pretty much read the same script as the Mixed and made it through to the Semi Final only to be undone as well in a dramatic 3 on 3 drop off against eventual winners, Takapuna. Both the Mixed and Girls bounced back from heartbreaking semi final losses to win their respective 3rd/4th playoff games.
The Boys on the other hand were looking very dominant in pool play and quarter final and were hoping for some tighter games to follow. They ended up winning both Semi Final and Final by 4-1 margins. All in all a cracker of a day and another deserved NH Champion Title.
