Congratulations to our Mathex Teams who were ‘math-nificent’ at the recent Auckland Casio Mathex competition.
Our Year 7 Rm 55 team came 2nd out of approximately 125 teams ( a stunning achievement!) with our NLE Y7 team finishing an impressive 5th and answering 20 questions in just over 20 minutes.
Against very tough opposition our Year 8 Rm 54 team placed in the top 10 of 125 teams for their year level (we think 8th or 9th but it was very difficult to keep up!)
The Rimu team got stuck on the 13th question and ended on 95 points with time to spare.
All our mathematicians should be extremely proud of their commitment, resilience and mindblowing mathematical thinking!
