Frantic ten minute rounds. Tempers and ligaments stretched to their limits. Last minute subs. Anxious parents, tense teachers. All played out to the gentle ping and pong at this year’s Table Tennis zone day. Eight courageous year 7 and year 8 students battled it out against 13 schools from across Auckland in a bid to take home the top title. With many already competing in the weekly tournament, players were already aware of how tough this competition was going to be. All students held their own against the other teams. Our girls team managed 3rd but the other doubles and singles teams struggled. In the end, the quality of play was just too great to pull off a win. Our students displayed all of our NX values in droves. Well done team. Making NX proud.
