Week 8 of Term 2 saw Room 24 (Sports Class) compete in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Sports Camp at Totara Springs, Matamata. The week-long tournament is pretty hectic with the kids playing a variety of sports from 9am-9pm. We had the best time and created some lifelong memories and just had a great experience.

In terms of results, the kids did exceptionally well, considering they are a class and the other 9 schools trialed, selected and trained their teams for Sports Camp. We managed to get results in the following sports:
1st-Netball, Chess (Dillon) and Handball
Runner Up-Swimming, Boys Tag, Draughts (Meadow-she got beaten by the clock as she was about to win), Boys Indoor Hockey, Frisbee Golf (Flynn & Tilly) and Shooting (Soul & Meadow)
Semi Finalists in-Boys Touch, Softball, Mixed Hockey, Boys Volleyball, Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Tennis (Noah and Daisy), and Pickleball (Daisy & Harley)
4th-Cheer Piece, Cross Country, and Archery
We finished 5th Overall out of 10 schools and were only 4 points off 4th and 22 points off 3rd (which is effectively winning two more Semis!)
All-in-all, a fantastic week!
