Chess is a thriving sport at Northcross! On Friday May 22nd, 24 of our keen chess players attended the National Federation Doubles tournament held at Willow Park Primary. All students performed well in their teams. Alex Korolev and Charlie Yang came first in the whole tournament with Dillon Sina’au and Max Zhao coming third. Lori Yang and Cynthia Wang were the top girls team in the tournament.
We are now looking ahead to the Auckland Intermediate competition coming up in June.
