What a day out for our boys at the Futsal Zone tournament! Both our Year 7 and Year 8 teams put in outstanding performances and came away with Silver – a great result all round.
The games were fast-paced from the start, and you could definitely feel the nerves early on. That didn’t last long though, as the boys settled in and let their energy and adrenaline take over. There were some awesome displays of skill across both teams, with quick passing, sharp movement, and plenty of effort on defence.
Just as good to see was the camaraderie and positivity throughout the day. The boys backed each other on the court and were staunch cheer squads for each other’s teams the whole day, keeping spirits high no matter what was happening on the court.
A couple of standout moments that won’t be forgotten anytime soon – Koby (Year 8) pulled off an absolute screamer of a bicycle kick, which had everyone buzzing. Not to be outdone, Fletcher (Year 7) stepped up and nailed a bicycle kick of his own straight into the back of the net. Two unreal goals!
All up, a great day with great results and an awesome group of lads. Plenty to be proud of.
