Once again, we proudly entered both Year 7 and Year 8 boys’ teams into the North Harbour Netball Zone Day – and what a day it was!
Both teams were dominant throughout the pool rounds, going undefeated and securing their spots in the semi-finals. Just as the semi-finals began, the weather took a dramatic turn, with the boys playing through a torrential downpour and ankle-deep water. Despite the challenging conditions, both teams showed incredible grit and perseverance to win their semi-finals and advance to the finals.
In the final matches, the Year 7 team played with outstanding teamwork and court connection, earning them the Year 7 North Harbour title. Meanwhile, the Year 8 team brought relentless defensive pressure, creating key turnovers that were seamlessly transitioned through the mid-court and confidently finished by our sharp-shooting attackers – securing the Year 8 title as well.
With both teams crowned North Harbour Champions, they now look ahead to the Auckland Championships. An amazing achievement – well done, boys!
