2023 was one of, if not, the best year we have had in NX Basketball. In the NH semester 2 competition 11 of our 30 teams won a medal – 9 of them gold. Well done to all 250 players. Thank you to all the coaches, managers and parents who have had invaluable input into teams over the year, it would not be possible to have the successful season without you.
NX Trailblazers, boys team 1, had the best year to date with a Semester Two final win over MBIS, 19-17 in extra time. They’ve had a hugely successful year and have made basketball at NX shine once again. Congratulations to our Team player Tayte Stott, most improved player Lucas Maurice and Isaac Fotu cup recipients Jayziah and Jaykson Gerrand.
NX Stars – the top girls team had a great year, ending as the league winners of Semester Two. It was a convincing win against our friendly foes MBIS. Congratulations to the following team members; our team player – Shyne Chapman, Most Improved – Caitlin Moloney and Riley Sina’au who was the Ella Fotu trophy winner for 2023.
