In Term 3, The Arts Academy (Room 10) entered a National school competition called ‘On Screen.’ This competition allows students to enter a 3-5 minute submission of either a music video, a documentary or a movie. One group of girls in Room 10 decided to enter a music video. They had to write their own lyrics and compose their own music to accompany the lyrics. Following that, they had to film the video to go with the music. The girls submitted a music video called ‘Thorns’ which took 6 weeks to complete
Northcross won 1st place in the Auckland Junior category which took us to Nationals! The National event was held at Academy Cinemas in Auckland and there, Northcross won 1st place in NZ for the Junior Music Video category!
