Northshore Intermediate NZCF Regional Qualifier
12 students represented Northcross in a qualifying round at Wairau Intermediate competing against other Northshore schools. The teams had a very successful day with Team A (William Liu, Ryan Hwang, Alan Li and Vincent Xu) coming out on top and winning Gold. This has qualified them to represent Northshore at the Interschool Championship to be held in September.
Chess Power Auckland Regionals
A team of 10 students were invited to take part in the Chess Power qualification event. There were some very close and hard fought battles against many strong competitors. The top four team members’ scores (Ryan Hwang, Alan Li, Zach Ogilvie Paul and Gordan Peng) were used for a final result of second place and have qualified a team for the NZ Championship Round to be held in October. Also representing Northcross today were Vincent Yu, Logan Pillay, Minjoon Kim, Alex Xiao, Vicky Yu and Edison Jiang.
