The Year 7 Challenger Series enables our students to demonstrate the Northcross Learner Dispositions of being engaged learners, demonstrating resilience, being tolerant and understanding of others and their differences. They also demonstrate the learner disposition of being an explorer or risk taker, willing to try new things. The Challenger series also provides an opportunity for students to form new connections with their classmates, teachers and learning. Some of the activities have already started, with several classes visiting Tiritiri Matangi, learning about Marae protocols and participating in Kite Making. Over the coming weeks, the activities will increase with visits to Awataha Marae, Millennium Pools, Sanders Reserve, Auckland Museum, and onsite experiences through Big Foot Adventures and Blake Virtual Reality.
