Recently, some Biotech students took part in a charity fundraiser by creating prototypes to test and see if they were fit for purpose. They developed some amazing products such as scented Aroma Therapy Doughs, Colourful shaped soaps, Healing lip balms, flavoured apple chips, Lip and body scrubs and Scented colognes and Perfumes using some natural ingredients from our gardens and raw ingredients. We raised a total of $634.00 which went to Look Good Feel Better (a cancer foundation) and Forest and Bird. Our Akonga really enjoyed selling these to our NX community, exchanging real money and setting up the market stall to encourage customers. Doing this for others made everyone feel good and we all learnt lots of skills during the process!
