In the first week of the term 72 students (12 teams) competed in the North Harbour Zone Day at Long Bay Reserve. Five terms and two individuals were fortunate to qualify for the Auckland Zone Day at a farm in Bombay. This was held on Tuesday 19 May. The Year 7 Boys team came first with three students Koji Constantine, Zachary Wenham and Ryan Newth each posting a course best time. The Year 8 Boys team came second in their competition with Harry Borton and Riki Cato winning their course times. The Year 8 Girls were fourth and the two Year 7 Girls teams were placed 5th and 8th respectively with Sophie Herde winning her course. Maddy Jackson competed as an individual and won her course time. All in all a wonderful result for these students and Northcross.
