This week Northcross have had five Softball teams competing in the North Harbour Schools Zone days at Rosedale Park.
Our softballers showed plenty of enthusiasm and determination in a sport that many were playing for the first time and it was a real learning experience as they took on rival teams for the NH Title. It was great to see a number of our more experienced players encouraging and supporting their team members with patience and respect. The NX Y8 Boys 1st Team came a credible 2nd (team photo above) and our Y8 Girls team made it into the playoff game for 3rd and 4th, winning the match and claiming 3rd spot.
Thanks to the supporters who could make it down to cheer our teams on and a special thanks to the parents and teachers who took on a coaching and managing role.
