One of our Year 7 students is proving to be a dynamo at Table Tennis. Recently August Xiao had the honor of representing New Zealand at the 2023 ITTF Oceania Youth Championships held in Townsville, Australia.
The 2023 ITTF Oceania Youth Championships is a showcase of emerging table tennis talent in the Oceania region bringing together young athletes from across the Pacific. With intense matches and fierce competition medals were won, friendships forged, and the spirit of sportsmanship prevailed.
At only 12 years of age August’s dedication and hard work resulted in a remarkable achievement as he secured several medals in various categories:
U15 Boys Team: Silver
U15 Boys Doubles: Silver
U15 Boys Singles: Bronze
U15 Mixed Doubles: Bronze
U19 Boys Doubles: Bronze
