Our first ever performing arts festival Hakari Toi 2024 was a roaring success. The event, showcasing dance, music and drama, ran over 6 1/2 hours and featured the following; NX rock bands, Concert and Stage Bands, music tuition groups and soloists, the Stuffy drama group, Kapa Haka, our dance troupes, String Orchestra and more.
Festival goers were treated to food trucks and amazing stalls run by our Makerspace classes (rooms 51 and 52) and the extension specialist classes which include, Biotech, Food tech, Design and Makerspace. Many spectators packed in under the dome with their picnic blankets and deck chairs to enjoy the show.
We would like to congratulate all performers and thank our fantastic Northcross Staff for helping to make the event such a success. A very special mention to Sylvia Watson, Grace Malone, Mark Jensen and Lynne Potts for all the extra work in organizing the night.
