Last week we held our much anticipated NX Speech Final where two finalists from each team across the school presented their speeches to a large audience. We had the opportunity to listen to speeches on a diverse range of topics and the standard was exceptionally high this year. Our judges, Rohan Smith from Long Bay College and NX Drama Teacher Mark Jensen had a difficult task on their hands in selecting the top speakers. Congratulations to Asher Whitehead for his winning speech on ‘The Power of Words’. Our 2nd place winner was Conrad Bates for his speech on ‘The Importance of History’ and 3rd place went to Selena Woolsey for her message on ‘Gut Health’. We look forward to entering the Rotary and APPA Speech Competitions in the coming weeks.
