On the 21st of May, a small group of 8 students headed off to Northcote Intermediate to compete in the Fuse cup Esports Mario Kart competition. Competing against 5 other schools for the title of New Zealand champion and an invitation to the Australasian finals in the Gold Coast. After a morning of high level competition, Henry Ren (51) managed to make it through to the quarter finals before being knocked out by some high level players.
Special mention to Jason Dowthwaite (52) who won the MVP sportsmanship award after being nominated by many of the competition schools for his sportsmanship and technical assistance throughout the day.
