The Basketball North Harbour Zone days for both the Boys and Girls teams took place a few weeks before the AIMS games tournament.
Boys Competition
North Harbour Zone day saw our AIMS boys basketball team come together for the first time as a team. The team played consecutive pool games which were fast-paced, with minimal down time but managed convincing wins in all their games . The team gelled well together, spending precious minutes on the court as they built towards the end goal of being well prepared for a successful AIMS tournament week. Consistency and determination saw the boys come out on top in the final, winning the game against Belmont 25-12. The team are now looking forward to the Auckland Champs in Term 4.

Girls Competition
For a number of years we have taken our AIMS girls team to the North Harbour zone day in preparation for the AIMS Games in Tauranga. The NH tournament is often the only chance they get to play together as a team prior to traveling to AIMS. This year saw the new team finish a credible 3rd on the day. We were very proud of the team to get out there, play hard with awesome team spirit against some great basketball teams, who we meet weekly in the Girls League 1. Well done girls!
