After placing in the top 2 at North Harbour Champs, our Team 1 Hockey girls had earned their spot to take part in the Auckland Champs. There were 15 schools from across Auckland participating, each of which had placed in the top 2 of their region, making for some pretty fierce competition. The girls had a great start, winning each of their Pool games convincingly and making it through to the semi-final. Here, they came up against Auckland Dio who proved too tough, going down 0 – 3. The girls rallied for their 3rd and 4th play-off game which was against Mahurangi College. They finished the day strong with a win and placed 3rd overall. Amazing achievement girls – bring on AIMS!
