In the last week of July, eight of our very keen and ingenious chess players attended the Auckland Chess Power Regionals. Carrying on from their success at other tournaments this year, all of our NX students played exceptionally well. Five of our players won all 7 of their rounds – Justin Wang, Ryan Chen, Aleksei Korolev, Maximilian Fang and Dylan Sun. Our school won first place with all top 8 individual rankings from Northcross. We are very proud of our talented chess team.
