An exciting Mosaic Project is underway in our Kete Kai Gardens

Over the next few months a transformation is taking place on the concrete planters in the Kete Kai Gardens that integrates the concepts of Hauora and Wellbeing and will reflect our Kaitiakitanga (Guardianship) through beautiful mosaic artwork created by our students. Local artist Angie Bickerstaff will work with us to bring these concepts into the work, adding colour and vibrancy to our beautiful gardens. Northcross is proud to have been selected to participate in this ‘Creatives in Schools’ programme delivered by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Ministry for Culture and Heritage Te Manatū Taonga and Creative New Zealand.  This initiative provides an opportunity for students to express themselves creatively, developing a sense of personal achievement and fulfilment from the creative experience, and develop their knowledge and skills in communication, collaboration, and creative thinking and practice.
