The Annual Northcross School Fun Run is being held on Friday 21 October. This much anticipated event brings the whole school together and provides an opportunity for the school to fundraise. The amount raised contributes toward new technology and equipment that will enrich and enhance our NX learning environments and Sports programme.
Every Northcross student will be running/walking a 3km course, setting their own target goal!
How will this fundraiser work?
This year we have again partnered with New Zealand based, online fundraising company, Raise It. Raise It specialise in working with New Zealand schools to maximise their fundraising efforts. Collecting sponsorship online makes it super easy for everyone – no more door knocking, your child can collect more donations from further afield (friends and family living overseas, work colleagues etc.) and no need to worry about handling all that cash and bringing it into school!
How does my child create their fundraising page?
Each child can sign up for their very own fundraising web page to send out to collect online sponsorship. Sponsorship can be collected from anyone, anywhere and sponsors can choose their own currency to donate in, if they wish.
To create their own fundraising page, your child will need to go to our School Fundraising Hub page at: https://nxfunrun.raiseit.nz/hub
- Click on the register/sign up link to set up their fundraising page
- Choose their class as their fundraising team and then enter their page details – this includes setting a goal to run/walk the 3km in.
- All student totals update in real time and their sponsors can leave you messages of encouragement

If you do not want your child to sign up for an online fundraising page please email shannonh@northcross.school.nz by Friday 23rd September. A hard (paper) copy of the Fun Run booklet will be arranged for your child, as cash donations can still be bought into the office and added to your child’s online class total.
